English is just a Mandarin dialect, Chinese claim
They say that everything we are taught about Europe prior to the middle ages is "fake news" designed to cover up Chinese domination of the world in previous centuries.By Vincent Wood
A group of "scholars" from China have made the astonishing claim that the English language is actually a dialect of Chinese.
The extraordinary findings are "the result of 20 years"’ research into language.
Zhai Guiyun , the Vice President and Secretary-General of the "World Civilisation Research Association" told Sina Online that several English words had their roots in Mandarin.
For example, he said, the English word “yellow” is closely related to the Mandarin words for ‘fallen leaf" and “heart” sounds suspiciously like the Mandarin word meaning “core.”
They believe that there was once a huge Chinese empire which has been covered up
Zhai also pointed out similarities, too, between the Chinese Mandarin language and words in Russian, French, German and other European languages.
Even more shockingly, Professor Zhai’s colleague Professor Zhu Xuanshi went on to say that all European history before the 15th century is a lie.
He claims that everything we are taught about Europe prior to the middle ages is "fake news" designed to cover up Chinese domination of the world in previous centuries.
Because Europeans found the fact of a global Chinese empire “humiliating” they agreed to edit history to hide the fact that they are just a “sub-civilisation” of Chinese culture.
The "World Civilisation Research Association" intends to put things right, and restore “correct” historical teachings, by setting up offices in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Thailand, South Korea and Madagascar.
To spread the word of this “fake world history” and “restore” its truth, the "World Civilisation Research Association" has set up offices in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Thailand, South Korea and Madagascar.
Association founder Du Gangjian issued a call to arms for Chinese historians, saying “Do not let fake, centred history hinder the great Sino-Renaissance.”
Not all of his countrymen are convinced, however.

The Taiwan Times reports that some commenters have been mocking the association online by calling them “Wolf Warrior Scholars” in reference to a patriotic Chinese movie.
“Thanks, we can no longer laugh at the Koreans who claimed Confucius and Genghis Khan are Korean,” said one.
